History of Hospman

Hospman was envisioned and formed in 2011 to provide hospitality management services. Our first client was the Best Western Airport Inn in Fort Myers, Florida. Subsequently, number of other hotels has come under Hospman’s management umbrella in Florida; additionally, Hospman provides project management services to number of hotel construction projects in South California. Hospman has been approved as a hospitality management company by Best Western, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Hilton Worldwide, Marriott, La Quinta Franchising, Wyndham Hotels Group and Starwood.


Management Philosophy

Hospman's management philosophy is based on responsibility and mutual respect. People who come to Hospman want to work here because we have created an environment that encourages creativity and achievement. Hospman aims to become a leader in hospitality management. The mainstay of our strategy will be to offer a level of client focus that is superior to that offered by our competitors.

To help achieve this objective, Hospman seeks to attract highly motivated individuals that want to work as a team and share in the commitment, responsibility, risk taking and discipline required to achieve our vision. Part of attracting these special individuals will be to build a culture that promotes both uniqueness and a bias for action. While we will be realistic in setting goals and expectations, Hospman will also be aggressive in reaching its objectives.

Senior Management Team

A seasoned second-generation homebuilder with an extensive background in entitlement and development; who as a principal has acquired, developed and sold in excess of $300 million of real estate. He has entitled, approximately 25 development projects, resulting in excess of 1,500 units of residential and mixed use projects, in mostly in-fill communities of Los Angeles. Daniel Singh oversees all major aspects with regard to forward planning, asset acquisition, marketing, and construction. Singh’s vision for the company is to continue to yield the highest return for investors through its hospitality real estate assets by measuring, developing and contributing to the company’s financial performance.

Daniel Singh is a graduate from the University of Buckingham in Buckingham, England, holding a degree in Economics.

Holding over twenty years of experience in financial, auditing and management fields, Pathirana brings a multitude of knowledge and experience to Hospman as its Chief Financial & Operating Officer. Pathirana has worked in municipal government for over fifteen years, most recently as the Director of Administrative Services and City Manager for the City of Hawthorne. As the City Manager of the City of Hawthorne, Pathirana was responsible for the day-to-day operations of a medium-size city with 10 departments, over four hundred staff members and annual budgets in excess of $300 million. Pathirana’s municipal experience includes dealing with complex redevelopment issues; issuing municipal debt and re-financings; economic development and tax initiatives. Prior to his time in local government, Pathirana worked in the private sector in the fields of taxation, auditing and accounting both in the United States and in England.

Pathirana's responsibilities for Hospman include analyzing & evaluating asset acquisitions, financing for acquisitions, day-to-day financial and operational aspects of hotel operations.

A graduate from the University of Buckingham, England, Pathirana holds a BS in Accounting and Financial Management and is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Accountant (England).

Mehta brings a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to Hospman in his role as the VP of Operations. He has served fourteen years as the Regional Manager for 2RK Hospitality Management Inc. and has achieved General Manager Certification for Holiday Inn Express, Days Inn, Ramada Plaza, Comfort Inn & Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Wingate Inn and Best Western. Hotel franchise experience as owner and/or operator includes with IHG, Hilton, Wyndham, Best Western and Choice Hotels Group. Mehta's primary responsibility with Hospman is to ensure supervisory operational support to the hotel General Managers. Mehta graduated with a degree in Computer Information Systems & Accounting from California Polytechnic University Pomona.
With over 15 years of experience in hotels sales, operations and marketing, Hiren is responsible for guiding company operations, implementing strategic initiatives, sales training/ team building, budget development and brand maximization for the Hospman portfolio. Over the last 15 years, Hiren has provided direction to both property and above property sales teams. Results have been achieved by creating a sales environment that balances customer engagement through proactive sales calls, development of sales talent in protected as well as experience based learning conditions, and executing achievable action plans that equal celebration and rewards for many. Along with his sales experience, Hiren brings several years of General Manager experience. He is certified General Manager with IHG, Best Western, and Red Roof Inn.

Jessica Cooper holds the position of Regional General Manager in South West Florida. As we acquire and grow our portfolio, Jessica is responsible for overseeing a smooth transition with staffing , sales and brand. This is a dual position as she also holds the position of General Manager at the Four Points by Sheraton and the La Quinta Inn & Suites. As General Manager she is responsible for all of the day to day operational aspects of the hotels, as well as being an informational source on industry and brand standards. Jessica’s hospitality experience exceeds 20 years, in a General Manager role. She is a “hotel professional” and a sales leader with award winning results. Jessica has been awarded General Manager of the year on three different occasions, with Pillar Hotel’s and Coakley & Williams Management Company. Jessica has been involved with many different Hotel franchises to include, Wyndham, IHG, Best Western, Hilton, and Starwood. The hotels have varied in size, as large as 245 guestrooms with 8000 sq. feet of banquet space to smaller more boutique hotels, including the 4 star Morrison House, located in Alexandria, Virginia.

Stephanie Xamis
Stephanie Xamis Regional General Manager

Stephanie Xamis holds the position of Regional General Manager for the North Florida Region. Stephanie is responsible for the onboarding of all new acquisitions in the North Florida Region. She handles implementing operational and sales policies at these new acquisitions. Stephanie joined Hospman after relocating from Savannah, Georgia. Over the past 10 years Stephanie has taken on a variety of leadership roles within the hospitality industry ranging from Director of Sales & Marketing to General Manager. As a DOS, Stephanie was awarded the Sales Excellence Award through Interstate Hotels and Resorts. In 2012, Stephanie was named Manager of the year while working for Crescent Hotels and Resorts. Stephanie is a certified General Manager and Sales Manager with IHG and Hilton. She currently holds the position of General Manger at the Hampton Inn Tampa.

Sara LaDue
Sara LaDue General Manager

Sara LaDue presently holds the position of General Manager at the Holiday Inn Edison at Midtown in Fort Myers, FL. At the property level, her position entails overseeing all aspects of the operation and leading the sales efforts, focusing on maximizing revenues, establishing corporate accounts, and strategizing revenue management tactics. Sara brings 10 years of experience to her role, starting her career in hospitality in 2008. She has worked in various positions including Front Office Operations, Accounting, Sales, and Management, and has worked in multiple market types and scales of hotels ranging from full service resorts to limited service properties. In 2014, personal endeavors lead Sara to Fort Myers where she joined the team at Hospman as the Front Office Manager at the Four Points by Sheraton. Shortly after her hire, she was promoted to the Assistant General Manager at the Four Points, and subsequently was promoted to become the General Manager at the Best Western Airport Inn, before transferring to the Holiday Inn location. Sara is a certified General Manager with Best Western International and with Intercontinental Hotels Group.

Shannon Blackburn
Shannon Blackburn General Manager

Shannon has spent her entire management career in hospitality; with over 15 years in the restaurant industry and in 2009 she transitioned to the lodging industry. Shannon spent 20 years in Savannah, Georgia honing her management skills and then in 2016 relocated to Tampa, FL to join the Hospman team working at Hampton Inn Tampa, Baymont Inn, and Hampton Inn Tampa/Brandon. Shannon is a certified General Manager & Sales Leader with Hilton and has been contacted by Hilton to consult with other properties regarding guest service scores. Shannon holds the position of General Manager at the Hampton Inn Tampa/Brandon, as well as a company trainer for procedures and policies in Tampa & Sarasota.

Brad joined the Hospman family in November of 2015. Coming from over 20 years of sales management experience within the UPS [ United Parcel Service ] organization. Brad's core background within global transportation and contract logistics has been managing large corporate customer relationships across the UPS enterprise of services. Brad currently holds the position of Director of Sales & Marketing for Hospman overseeing all sales and marketing efforts in Southwest Florida.

Joseph Metza
Joseph Metza Revenue Manager

Joe Metza started his career in 2003 at the Four Points Time Square working at the front desk while attending school at Trumbull CT. After relocating to Fort Walton Beach Florida, Joe graduated from University of West Florida in Hospitality Management in 2008; and becoming the Front Office Manager at the Four Points by Sheraton Fort Walton Beach Resort. While with Starwood, Joseph expanded his education in rate management, risk management, and all aspects of operations throughout the hotel.

Joe then relocated to further his career to Punta Gorda, were Joe had attained regional accountant and revenue manager. Currently in Fort Myers as Revenue Manager for Hospman, overseeing multiple hotels, with 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry is dedicated to professionally representing multiple hotel brands. Joe is a certified Revenue Manager with Marriott, Starwood, IHG, La Quinta, Best Western, Hilton and Wyndham Hotels.

Brian Joined Hospman in early-2016 to handle all information technology related projects. With 30 Years’ IT experience working in a variety of roles specializing in Networking, Servers, Desktop’s and Wireless technologies. Originally from Massachusetts, Brian relocated to Orlando Florida in 1995 to work for Disney’s Parks and resorts in as IT Project Manager. At Disney he worked on many different project including supporting existing, opening new resorts and working with resort sales department to improve systems efficiency.
