The Position -Cook:

Provides the highest level of food preparation possible in an efficient, consistent, and professional manner to ensure a positive guest experience.

 

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food by following recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation standards as the brand requires.
  • Understand menu content, any menu changes, and promotional activities.
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and timely fashion.
  • Prepare and replenish food displays.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
  • Responsible for completing all closing duties; including completing daily cleaning checklist.
  • Puts away weekly delivery of supplies and rotates stock.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area to ensure sanitary conditions and meet the departmental standards.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to provide the best possible experience for the guests, ensuring superior personalized service.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Food Safety Programs, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations.

 

Other General Requirements of the Position:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven restaurant line cook experience; 2 years minimum.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have current food handling licenses/permits and maintain such licenses/permits.
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to project a professional, friendly and courteous image to guests and other team members.
  • Ability to multi-task and be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and more than 25 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic math.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

 

Recruitment Process

The testing process will include one more oral interviews with senior management staff as well as a written test (if deemed necessary).
